So... Before finding this site, my only real exposure to games was as a kid playing backgammon, rummykube and the host of roll and move boardgames we all play as kids in the USA - Monopoly, Parchesi, Sorry and the like. In my late teens/early 20's I discovered Talisman (3rd edition). LOVED IT! But really had no one to play with so that was it with games untill... What sparked my interest in games again was my Wife and I started playing Uno on a camping trip. It's been downhill from there. We thought it'd be fun to have some boardgames to play at home instead of watching TV or being on our computers all the time when we're inside. After getting a few standard games I remembered there being a game store in Tyson's Corner Mall many years ago. After searching a bit I found out that store was closed and out of business. Bummer. The good thing was while searching for that long lost store I found BGG. Man-o-man this is cool! I'm sure this is a story that's been told over and over around here, but this one is mine :) Our collection of games has grown much more rapidly than we've been able to play them. I enjoy the aspect of researching and aquiring new games as much as I do actually playing them. I think it's time to start playing them more now though. Time to play!
