🍀🩵AKAZA Hey there 😇🖐️ There is only One reality. All multiplicity is appearance, not division. What seems like “many” is Nāma–Rūpa—names and forms imposed upon the same underlying essence. Just as countless waves rise and fall without ever becoming separate from the ocean, individual beings appear distinct while never departing from Brahman, the non-dual absolute. The sense of a separate self (ahaṅkāra) arises through avidyā (ignorance). Consciousness identifies with body, memory, and thought, mistaking the transient for the real. From this misidentification emerges plurality: I and you, subject and object, observer and observed. In truth, these divisions exist only at the level of perception, not reality. Advaita holds that Ātman and Brahman are identical. The inner witness—the silent awareness behind all experience—is not a part of reality; it is reality itself. There are not many consciousnesses, but one consciousness appearing as many minds, like a single sun reflected in countless vessels of water. Time, causality, and individuality belong to Māyā—not illusion in the sense of nonexistence, but in the sense of dependent reality. They function, yet have no independent essence. When knowledge (jñāna) arises, the world does not vanish; rather, its assumed separateness dissolves. Freedom (mokṣa) is not something attained in the future. It is the recognition that there was never bondage. The seeker, the path, and the goal collapse into one realization: That which seeks is already that which is sought. There are not many beings sharing existence. There is existence itself, appearing as many beings.
