Half British, Half Dutch born rapper CompreHend is an MC, Rapper & songwriter from Leicester City in the U.K. CompreHend is an intelligent wordsmith boasting a unique style of thought provoking lyricism mixed with a captivating delivery. CompreHend released his debut E.P “Stockholm Syndrome” in 2016 which had a selection of tracks played on BBC Introducing Lincolnshire. CompreHend later performed on FUBAR Radio alongside Jehst and America’s Passport Rav. CompreHend then released his second studio E.P “Current State of Affairs” in 2017 which received further radio play by BBC Introducing labelling him “Hot of 2018”. CompreHend has since gone on to support the U.K’s Lowkey at 2 Funky Music Cafe in Leicester, upcoming grime star Grim Sickers, U.K rap legend Rodney P at Festival 2Funky, Comedian/Rapper Doc Brown, People’s Army’s Logic in Corby, Hip-Hop pioneer Skinnyman in Leeds and more. He released his first project of 2018 on New Years’ day in the form of a single called “Stars” featuring Nottingham’s Splinta, which was later aired on BBC Introducing. CompreHend’s second released of 2018 “Dark Times” Ft. Starboy SunSun was aired multiple times on BBC Introducing and and subsequently lead to an exclusive interview with the BBC’s Dean Jackson to discuss the release and future plans. CompreHend performed at Leicester’s popular Western Park Festival in July to an impressive 3,000 strong audience and in November of 2018 CompreHend received a Performing Arts Award recognising his musical input within the community. 2019 is already set to be a big year for CompreHend having alreadt performed at the the popular Y Not Festival in partnership with BBC music Introducing at Rough Trade in Nottingham on the 17th of February and a booking to support Chap-Hop extraordinaire Mr B the Gentleman Rhymer at the Maze in Nottingham on the 5th of April.
