Hmmm...creative female in my early twenties. I just moved out not long ago, and got even deeper into the world of books than I already was, because I didn't have a TV. I like anything, really, except romance novels are kind of cheesy....I like to party with my friends; read and write poetry and short stories; read, write, play, sing music; work on my website; lavish time and attention on my boyfriend, friends and family; cook; and well just about anything else, too. I'm always open to trying new things, so if I haven't done it yet, there's a good chance I will if it's suggested to me. I like tattoos and peircings, fetish-wear, "goth" culture, "punk" cluture, "rave" culture, UNDERGROUND! I'm not really a main-stream person. I got interested in LMAOs not too long ago through 1000journals.com and nervousness.org, which is how I heard about this site. Seemed like a natural extension of them.

Hi I am a freelance Researcher working on my Ph.D dissertation. My team and I are developing a Serious Game application for people with dementia. The application is designed to run personalized short puzzles and quizzes with gamified multimedia content on mobile tablet devices. All content is consisting of personal memories precious and dear to the patient who solely owns all the copyrights to it. The system processes the content as discreet, does not store it anywhere and only the patient will ever be able to access it. According to recent researches, assisting patients to sustain activities around personal memories can maintain their interest, motivation and - over time - potentially slow down the progress of dementia. Our gamified application under development has been designed to exactly this, taking into consideration the usability, user-friendliness and long-term memory properties typical for the course of dementia. Dementia is one of the severe causes of mortality in elder groups of demographic population. Many studies forecast the number of dementia patients to increase all over the world. According to the World Health Organization's WHO report of 2015, there are already around 50 million people suffering from dementia around the globe and WHO predicts this number to even triple by the year of 2050. The aim of our project is to offer an application for dementia patients and their communities. The key focus in development of this application is in the overall user experience and low end-user cost, it must be affordable and made available only for a low price. We know how helpless the feeling is with the patients and their caretakers and we want to do our share for it, hoping no one would need to face dementia alone. We are proceeding with development of the application and inviting you to join the next generation of dementia care with us.
