Avery Glaze aka Flotation was born in Oklahoma City in '84. His family moved to the DFW area in '92 where he was exposed to more music and culture. Flotation became an MC and began writing and recording songs in the 10th grade, along with DJing at parties, making mixtapes, playing guitar and drums, and organizing shows in the years to follow. Flotation has been making a name for himself by coming up in the local battle scene, putting out mixtapes, and doing live shows to pay dues. He released the debut album entitled "Don't Sink" in December of 2009 which features collaborations with artists such as Molek Ular, Wordlife, Kraftmatic, MC Astro, Jackrabbit, and more. In July of 2012, Flotation released his second solo project entitled "Out the Trunk". This project has features from Sivion, Rapture, Drama Tha King, Alsace Carcione, Fab Duece, The 8's, DA UA, Kilo Art-of-Fact, and more. Flotation has been featured in several music videos including DFW Cypher "The Alley", DFW Cypher "SXSW Edition", and The Aux Heard "Get You Gone". Flotation is currently the resident MC/booking agent for a monthly Hip Hop showcase at The Slip Inn in Dallas called "Movement Mondays". Flotation is constantly developing his craft and networking to support the music movement. Be on the look out Flotation's got nice music to offer.
