When I was buying a few techno 12 inches around 1991, I found a collection of colorful 12" covers. The title of the records were "Electro Sound." When I started to listen to "Take Three," I was impressed by the mixing abilities. To me, this was the style of a real D.J. I started to collect as much as I could, eventhough I was far away from Belgium. The record store where I used to purchase these would get them late, so when one arrived, there was already a new release circulating. So I was always behind everytime. At one point the record stores that I used to go to started to close down or change in format, so I never knew about "Techno Computer" series until they were no longer distributed. I placed orders with many record stores online, only to be emailed a rejection that they no longer carried it. The Unity Mixers were able to take boring songs they received permission to use in their mixes and make them enjoyable--believe me, if you listen to most of the tracks mixed separately, you'll be bored to death. If the Unity Mixers followed the steps of bootleggers such as Deep and Studio 33, they would have been more famous among megamix fans. Imagine if they had the entire arsenal of underground music to use in the mixes without permission, we would have had many among the greatest of megamixes. Although their work is outdated, they are still a pleasure to listen to. The home page link is not my doing but a website that I support. All of the covers and tracklistings are from my collection. Currently, the 10+ releases for both Indisc and CNR are still in pending status. (as of 1-31-2003, I removed all my pending releases cause it's been over a month without any interest from discogs to add them to the release section) I managed to get two mixes in mp3 format. Techno Computer 4 and an unknown rare mix that was purchased in Canada, but haven't quite figured out what the title is. It may be their summermix that I remember seeing or one of their off-the-volume/series productions. If you would like to review this mysterious mix, please ask. Frosty
