Hip Hop crew made up of three members Amza, Luno & Rhenqe. Born and bred from the dusty streets of Walmer Township in Port Elizabeth, Geniuses has been around since 2006. They have made multiple local mixtapes like Finally(2008) and Word of Mouth: Ndaba Mlonyeni(2011). With air play and interviews on Kingfisher FM, they went on to be the finalist in the 2012 Eastern Cape Extreme Talent Competition hosted by Extreme Models Agency. On the same year they also participated in the Splash Festival Talent Search and made it to the finals. In a solo effort, group member Rhenqe went on to be the top five Finalist on the 2012 BlackBerry Talent Competition hosted by BlackBerry and AKA. Luno was a part of the Eastern Province choir for the year 2012 and was awarded the best soloist merit certificate. They have been on two Bay TV shows, Big1 up & Open Mic, for interviews and performances from 2012 and 2013 with Amza having been the undefeated champion on Open Mic for 10 weeks. The trio have been to the National Arts Festival 2013 in Grahamstown and performed in the Smirnoff Music Room for three gigs and a full on show. They have also worked with Masifunde Learner Development in association with GIZ, a German major company sponsoring the initiative, in the Youth for Safer Communities 2013 project. Together with Vudu Jazz band and the Masifunde Choir, they have collaborated to make a crime awareness song and a video. Their aim is to push their underground market before blowing up in the music scene. These talented MCs fuse elements of R&B and Soulful sounds to their deep and sometimes upbeat Hip Hop. They specialise in in live performances, freestyling & battling.
