The HORSEMEN first came to the city of Zhambal in the country of Kazakhstan as a charter member of the most successful game and league in sports entertainment - ROLLERBALL. The team was originally owned by the French businessman, Jean-Phillipe Marois, until his untimely death during a promotional stunt.Russian born businessman and entrepreneur Alexi Petrovich purchased the organization and recruited a new power team that started with Marcus Ridley and Aurora. He then drafted Pinto, Toba, Denekin, Pile Driver, Edi, and Modo from other Rollerball teams.After an amazing 6 game win with unmatched points scored overall, the Horsemen have earned a reputation that is approaching mythical status. With record attendances at each home-court event, the team is achieving cross over success while being lead by the ruthless and amazing Jonathan Cross.Alexi Petrovich was and remains to be a prominent fixture in Eastern European business, predominantly focussed on all matters concerning import and export of manufactured goods. He enlisted in the Russian army after completing his schooling and advanced through the ranks to a high level of military power which lead him into the service of the Russian intelligence community. After the demise of the former Soviet Union, he maintained his ties with the KGB, but branched out in to the world of foreign trade. For obvious reasons, a large portion of his history is not available for publication or even general knowledge. One thing that is known for sure is that Mr. Petrovich is a man known for getting his way while living by a personal philosophy that is Machiavellian at the very least.As an attempt to broaden the scope of his various business interests, Petrovich pursued an idea to purchase a small airline, which was used for overseas trade, banking, and as the official airline of the Horsemen team of the Rollerball league. The company's original owner, Jean-Phillipe Marois, was also the owner of the Horsemen team and refused to sell to Petrovich. Marois publicly ridiculed Petrovich and accused him of being a criminal. Shortly thereafter, Marois was killed in a mysterious accident during a Rollerball game and his wife, the heir to his fortune, died in a plane crash. After the death of the team and it's owner, Petrovich purchased the franchise and developed it into the mecca that it is today.Using his gifts as a businessman along with the skills he developed in the Russian military, Petrovich has built the Horsemen up from the ashes to a triumphant return to greatness and, hopefully, victory. His acquisition of players and coaches is legendary, starting with Marcus Ridley and, ultimately, the current top of the pyramid, Jonathan Cross.Alexi Petrovich promises to continue the exciting legacy of Rollerball and further build it into an even largercommodity, while maintaining the honesty and integrity of the game.
