Carl Lewis Films was brought to life by local filmmakers Lewis Thompson and Carl Mason. Carl & Lewis' interest in the industry, originally began to develop on the popular video sharing platform YouTube.com; producing films for Vodafone UK, and Nokia Mobile, in the form of video reviews. After local media discovered Carl & Lewis' YouTube business, they were given the opportunity to visit Penkat Studio on an experience-of-work placement. They have since won the NHS National Best Young Filmmakers Award 2013, with their film 'It's a Gift'. Judges commented that their film focussed on communicating key messages. "Technically a great film which was beautifully shot." Carl Lewis Films was created to allow the progression of Carl & Lewis' interest in the filmmaking industries. Located in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, they now aim to provide professional, affordable, high-definition wedding videos; not only capturing the events of the day, but also the emotions shared by the couple, family & friends. Due to Carl & Lewis' ‘tech-savvy’ attitude towards film; couples are guaranteed a fresh-touch to their bespoke wedding film, telling the story of their wedding like no other medium can. The approach to the filming of the wedding is always unobtrusive, ensuring the film feels natural, and not posed; allowing the the day to unfold as if they are not there. Carl Lewis Films has been praised for it's extremley professional service. "We were thrilled with the results of our film, and would, without hesistation, recommend them both to anyone. Born in Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean, Danielle has always been inspired by colour. Though not finding her love for fashion until being dressed by some of the world's best designers when she competed in the Miss Universe Pageant in 2004, Danielle truly understands the importance of fit and fabric to inspire confident and cool looks. Fascinated by Cuban Culture, the movement and evolution of the Maasai tribes of Kenya and Tanzania and most recently by the colours and fabrics of India, Danielle gained and understanding of the cultural connections possible through fabric, detailing and, of course, colour. The line's name comes from the marriage of Danielle's married name and her first initial but also aligns with her fashion ethic. She hunted the world for translations to the fashion ideas she believes lived within her for years. Her father, Hugo wore the classic Cuban shirt jack to work - you can see that inspiration. Her husband, Quincy favors slim modern lines - you see that in the collection. Her Miss Universe favorite gown featured embroidered flowers and a bold red - you see that in her first "r" collection by Hunted. Hunted, her signature fashion line, is inspired by that travel and Danielle's personal sense of style. It is understood best by the modern urban dweller who appreciates cultures not necessarily their own. Clean lines, delicate details and colour define the collection which includes handworked cotton, intricate details and is accompanied by her signature leather handbag collection perfect for the woman on the go.
