My Job Title

I am, like most people on this website i'm sure, a complete reading nut. My sister, who's on here as "angua", probably got me started, since she is also into reading. I've read so many books in my short life i'd have no idea where to start on a favourites list, but i have to say that The Lord of The Rings comes at least equal first. Also near the top are The Discworld series by Terry Pratchett, The Axis Trilogy and the Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglas and The Tomorrow Series by John Marsden. Naturally, like all other fantasy enthusiasts, I also love the Harry Potter books (not movies). I'm into other books like the Diary of Anne Frank (i studied the holocaust) 1984 which I really liked. I am yet to read Animal Farm, but will eventually. I'm currently in year 10, and just turned 16 and started driving. Though I am determined to buy a horse to ride everywhere instead of driving, I am learning anyway. Life's pretty good at the moment, i'm going to France and Spain over Christmas with my family, but i'm not sure about the riots happening in Paris and across France and Belgium at the moment. On to Movies, my family have become movie nuts. We're always watching movies. Of course, The Lord of The Rings movies are great, but they're not the only ones I like. I really liked The Hours, I loved Whale Rider, the Motorcycle Diaries. Another one I think everyone should see is Michael Moore's Bowling for Columbine. What an amazing movie. Being Australian, I'm not really 'all for' America, and this movie told me why. I found this movie incredibly well made and very deserving of it's oscar. I like foreign movies like Amelie and the aforementioned Motorcycle Diaries, as well as movies like Garden State. I want to see Howl's Moving Castle, at the Astor I think (the only place that's showing the original Japanese version). I play violin and sing, and will be studying VCE music 1/2 next year. I play hockey in an attempt to remain vaguely fit. Other subject for next year are History Revolutions 3/4, Legal Studies 3/4, and chemistry, methods, french, literature. Since the just made english non-compulsory, i'm doing just lit because I didn't have space for both, but i'll probably pick english up again in year 12. so i'm a guinea pig for non english year 11! I'm currently reading Memoirs of a Geisha, and am enjoying it so far. I'm currently watching Foreign Correspondence - last show for the year :( - and Lateline - i love that guy - and the two movie shows (abc and sbs). Also spicks and specks, but who's not watching that? I love: InuYasha (Japanese anime), Sesshomaru (also Japanese anime and feeatured in picture!), sushi, everything else Japanese eg. cranes, history (all...), reading, movies, Africa (especially Egypt), big cats (tigers, leopards etc.), dogs (my two black poodles that don't have funny pompoms everywhere), all other animals, meh.
