Official Vimeo account for Keandre Curry. For more than a decade, author and entrepreneur Keandre Curry has been an integral and innovative part in national crime and violence prevention efforts. Founding the National Crime Prevention Group in 2006, his first charity, to date he has educated more than 60,000 youth and families, and helped hundreds of crime victims get necessary assistance. Being part of such an historic and progressive campaign, Keandre was able to learn from his leadership role as Executive Director, gaining valuable communication and ethical skills, paving a path for his continued personal growth and success. In 2008, Keandre changed the National Crime Prevention Group to its current name, the Coalition for Peace of America. During that same year, he launched an online website called Curry Writings, which included his personal journals, blogs, poems and other writings. Not to long after this quick venture, he began working on writing short stories, which is planned to be self-published in the near future. The stories are consistent to what Keandre writes about now: Family, reality and self-improvement. Beyond his fancy cursive handwriting, he knew of writing potential and just went with it. Just a few years later, in 2011, Keandre started writing political articles for The Morning Eyes Magazine, an online Florida-based publication delivering personal viewpoints and factual information on top stories, entertainment, politics and other news. This was Keandre's first legit position, with all respect, as before he was writing for Helium, Examiner and the Yahoo Contributor Network. However, due to miscommunication and internal issues, Keandre stopped writing for the magazine, which later closed in March 2012. That was just the beginning of it all. On July 9, 2011, Keandre self published his first self-help book, Life's Simple Point, that aimed to encourage people to live their life to fullest by all means. Although the book was not successful as he hoped, he is using the experience as an tool for his upcoming release of Beyond the Worst. With a new book coming out, writing for SexEtc.org and Florida Blue Now, in addition to attending school, he defiantly has his hands full.
