Had a lot of fun and learning while working on this. (BTW – I understood later that this is not such a unique idea, but it boosted my morale to a good height). Description: It is a kind of tool which searches and processes jar files present in a network repository and stores them in a kind of tree structure (now replaced with Berkeley DB java edition) for quickly searching for a class name and returning all the jar file names and their locations in which the class name is present. Name: Adbase Client: VMS Technologies: Java, Tapestry, Hibernate, Spring In My View : This is one of the best project I have worked on where I have seen the wonderful usage of OO principles. The way Unit testing and refactoring principles applied along with Continuous Integration. Description: Essentially it is a search application for finding advertisements. VMS's core business lies in providing the complete meta data about all types of advertisements published in various types of media ( e.g. TV, Radio, Print ).Through Adbase clients can easily search and buy the ads of their interest. Name: ONUOSS Client: Hewlett-Packard (Japan) Technologies: Java, JMS, Swing In My View : This gave me a good chance of working with JMS. I enjoyed exploring it and giving quick inputs for the design team. Description: It is a framework adhered to the OSS standards which will be used later for making customized products which will be used for fault management by customers using firmware. Interests: Creating developer friendly tools in Java. Interest in the day to day developments in open source software world and its licensing. Interest in using and promoting ApacheDS and Gnu/Linux operating system. I dream about: Attaining the expertise in product design and development. To play a role of Linux system administrator at least for a day doing real stuff. To write a usable piece of software in Python.
