עמוק בתוך תרבות האינסטנט ומערבולת האוכל והבידור המהיר, מעטים היוצרים המצליחים ליצור מוזיקה בעלת אורך רוח כמו הקוגיז. מתחילת דרכם במעמקי המקלט ועד לסיום העבודה על אלבומם השני "רוץ אל הזהב" התמידו הקוגיז ביצירת מוזיקה ייחודית עמוקה ומגוונת.הלהקה הוקמה ב2001 על ידי ארז קוגלר (גיטרות ושירה), יזהר שקדי (באס ושירה), ולירן קלינה .(תופים וכלי הקשה). בשנותיה הראשונות עסקה הלהקה בג'אמינג ובעיצוב הצליל הייחודי ללהקה שהוא שילוב של רוק מלודי, בלוז פסיכודלי ומקצבים אפרו לטינים.מגוון ההשפעות של הלהקה נע במרחב שבין סיד בארט לפלה קוטי. בשנת 2005 החליטו הקוגיז שהגיע הזמן להקליט.חמושים בארבע שנות נגינה משותפת ועשרות שירים וקטעים מוזיקליים נסעה הלהקה להולנד שם הקליטו את אלבומם הראשון. ביחד עם מוזיקאים מקומיים בראשם הקלידן אלכסנדר קאלי יצרו אלבום חם ועשיר הכלל תשעה קטעים כולם בשפה האנגלית. במהרה הושמעו השירים בתחנות רדיו שונות בארץ ובעולם וזכו לביקורות חמות. בעקבות כך יצאה הלהקה ל"מסע הופעות" בארץ האבות. על מנת לשמר את העושר הרב של האלבום אירחה הלהקה בהופעות נגנים נוספים בחצוצרה, סקסופון חלילים, פסנתר ועוד.עם הזמן התגנבו אל הבמה יותר ויותר שירים בעברית והלהקה (כמו גם הקהל) הרגישה שזה הכיוון הנכון, לשוב ולשיר בשפת האם אשר חיכתה אלפיים. וכך לאחר שנה של הופעות ישבו חברי הלהקה בבר בפלורנטין והחליטו לקחת הפסקה מהופעות ולהתמקד בעבודה על האלבום השני שיהיה כולו בעברית. לאחר שנה של עבודה פורייה ומרתקת הולידו הקוגיז את אלבומם השני "רוץ אל הזהב". עתה עובדים הקוגיז על מופע שיקדם את האלבום ויכלול גם שירים חדשים מהאלבום הבא.... יצירת קשר: יזהר שקדי [email protected] 0545208627 לירן קלינה [email protected] 0523653083
