Graphic designer (also known as visual programmer or visual communicator) is the professional in charge of graphically interpreting a set of information or an idea. Although higher education is not entirely necessary, it is recommended that this professional graduate in Visual Communication or Industrial Design, since, having attended a university, it is easier to get a better placement in the job market. The graphic designer can work in several sectors, such as: internet homepages and CD-ROMs, publishing houses (book covers creation, for example), advertising agencies, television, magazines, cinema, creating logos, packaging and logos, design companies, production of audiovisuals, advertisements, development of computer design programs, product projects (development of products considering their functional, aesthetic and utilitarian aspects), work with animations (generation of vignettes, for example), production of drawings technical and illustrations, application and research of ergonomic tests of all types of furniture, administration of design departments and management of industrial products, etc.
