[b]Child's Play:[/b] I have two avenues for game playing -- a regular group that gets together about once a week, and my 8 year old son. In addition to board games, my regular group also plays RPGs, miniature and card games, which makes getting my favourite boardgames on the table a bit tough. This means I play many more board games with my son than with anyone else. As such, I try to include in my reviews and session reports something about how well the games work with children. I'm still learning (via self-teaching) how to write effectively, but I think I'm getting a bit more comfortable with my style. Naturally, suggestions for improvements are always welcome.... [b]dGb Games:[/b] I am the owner, CEO, and lead designer of dGb Games, a fictitious company I just made up to tag my custom maps home made expansions for some of my favourite games. The first item to bear the dGb Games logo is my [url=http://www.boardgamegeek.com/image/219123]On The Subway[/url] map, a NYC variant map for On The Underground. Other items to feature the prestigious (yeah, right!) dGb logo are my [url=http://www.boardgamegeek.com/tag/pgcustommaps]custom Power Grid maps[/url], most of which are still under construction. The changes I made to the [url=http://www.boardgamegeek.com/tag/pgcanadacurrent]Canada Power Grid map[/url] have finally been released and can be downloaded from the Power Grid Files section! I am currently working on The Imperials of Eberron, as you can see in the picture at the top of my profile. [b]Thrifting:[/b] I'm an unrepentant thrifter. Sifting through the shelves, looking for that odd ball game and occasional bargain is just fun. It's the thrill of the hunt, except you don't know what you're hunting until you see it. I'm starting a series of "Thrifty Reviews" whereby I review some of the games I've picked up in thrift stores and are quite under represented here on the Geek. Anyone can write a Thrifty Review, so if you've found a game without many articles on the geek, give us a review of it! How did it go? Is it a keeper? Thrifty minds want to know!

N-N-NASTY !!! edit: hey, my bio has been untouched for about three years, but i want to update this. i'm currently fighting stage 4 primary spine cancer, and i'm posting here as much as i can. my fics may be noticeably shorter, and the content may have changed a lot. i think that the quality of my writing has continued to improve, though, and i hope that you all won't mind the occasional typos or weird space between fics.
