Akoijam Pete Meitei, son of Akoijam Ibotombi Meitei and Akoijam Ongbi Subadani Devi of Yairipok Bishnunaha, a distinguished educator and researcher from Manipur, India, holds an M.A. (Education) and M.Ed., along with UGC NET qualifications, currently pursuing a Ph.D. at the Department of Education, Manipur University. With nearly 15 years of teaching experience, he has worked at various educational institutions and is actively involved in research and publication. He is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Rural Education (IRE), College of Teacher Education, Wangjing. He actively contributes to academic growth and professional development, participating in and presenting papers on educational trends in numerous national and international seminars, conferences, workshops, and webinars. He has served as a resource person for programs organized by SCERT and DIET, Manipur. He also conducts training programs for school teachers and B.Ed. Trainees and participated in developing a curriculum framework for state position papers, research, and publications in various fields of education. He has won numerous awards, including the Rajyapuraskar Award for Scouts and Guides in 2001, the Rank and Bolt Award in 2004, the District Youth Award in 2008, the Nation’s Pride Award 2024 on Education and Social Work by Gyan Uday Foundation Kota, Rajasthan, the Global Youth Icon Award in 2024 by the International Council for Education, Research and Training (ICERT), India and USA, Jagannath International Management School (JIMS)Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, and the International Teaching Excellence Award 2024 by International Institute of Organized Research (I2OR), on 5th October, world teacher’s day 2024. He has participated in numerous national camps, Jamborees, and adventure programs and is a certified Advanced Cub Master and Scout Master. His diverse experiences and achievements demonstrate his multifaceted contributions to education in Manipur and beyond.
