RESEÑA NEUROSIS 2023 - www.neurosismetal.net Neurosis, banda de metal conformada en Bogotá D.C. en 1987 por Jorge Mackenzie (guitarrista y compositor) se constituye hoy en día en una de las bandas más representativas del metal colombiano. Neurosis ha publicado hasta la fecha 10 trabajos discográficos en formato CD y en 1999 realizó una Gira por Suramérica que abarcó 5 países (Ecuador, Perú, Bolivia, Chile y Argentina) y en 2006, 5 fechas en Venezuela. En 2007 fue invitado a Cochabamba (Bolivia) al Surmetalfest I y a Quito (Ecuador) al Quitu Raymi 2007. A nivel nacional ha realizado más de 60 presentaciones fuera de Bogotá D.C. en diferentes ciudades del país y ha participado en todos los principales festivales de país incluyendo 7 participaciones en Rock al Parque. Un estilo inconfundible de guitarras agresivas y unas líricas profundas y existencialistas llenas de reflexión han caracterizado el trabajo de Neurosis a lo largo de 31 años de metal honesto, sincero, sin máscaras, el cual ha logrado cautivar a miles de rockeros en Colombia y el exterior. Neurosis ha compartido escenario con bandas extranjeras como Destruction, Razor, Hirax, Krisiun, Criminal en conciertos privados y en Rock al Parque ha tocado inmediatamente antes que Apocalyptica, Exodus y Monstrosity. Neurosis es una de las bandas pilares del metal colombiano siendo influencia para muchas bandas en el país. En mayo de 2017 la banda hace un alto en el camino para poder solucionar asuntos con el sello disquero y algunos problemas internos en la banda. En los primeros días de enero de 2018 sale a la venta un MCD con 3 canciones inéditas titulado “Las Centurias de la Muerte” el cual ha tenido una excelente respuesta por parte de los seguidores de la banda. The band was formed in 1987 in Bogotá (COLOMBIA) by guitarist and songwriter Jorge Mackenzie and after years of hard work it is now one of the most legendary metal bands in the South American scene. For those of you not familiar with the band it is one of the oldest metal bands from Colombia, having toured South America (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Venezuelaand Chile) and played the biggest festivals in Colombia gaining a reputation through the years. Neurosis has shared stage with Apocalyptica, Monstruosity, Hirax, Haggard and Krisiun - in 2007 they were given the "Subterranica" Award inColombia as the best metal band in the country - in 1996 the video "Verdun 1916" was air-played in "Headbanger´s Ball" on MTV Latino and MTV USA being the first Colombian metal band to be air-played and one of the fist South American bands to do so.
