What’s your angle?

Located in St. Louis Park, Minnesota (a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis), Perspectives is entering its 43rd year of award-winning human service programs. As a multi-service agency, Perspectives addresses society's pressing issues: homelessness, poverty, addiction, mental illness, poor nutrition, and lack of access to services. Today, Perspectives is the largest supportive housing program for women and children in Minnesota, housing approximately 75 women and 130 children annually. Our services are extensive and span from recovery and mental health programs for women and children to job readiness and parenting education. We provide furnished apartments, case management, mental health/recovery services, employment assistance, food, nutrition education, family reunification, and children's programming. Perspectives are distinctive in that few if any, supportive housing programs provide in-house comprehensive mental health services, as well as year-round out-of-school academic support for the children. Our focus is on serving homeless, recovering mothers and their children who have experienced complex trauma.

After living in Spokane Washington for over 20 years, I moved to the Twin Cities area of Minnesota and am starting the winding down of over 45 years of work experience. Starting at Capital Records at the age of 16 my life has taken many unusual, fantastic, unexpected, magical, and artistic changes. I love to play music, draw and paint, work with computers, ride my bike, haunt the local antique stores and enjoy being alive. The alternative does not appeal to me.
