Pontoon Music has been reborn! Pontoon hail from Liverpool and are the greatest thing since a sliced beetroot. Their music is a humourous and sparkly journey through life itself. I want as many people as possible to see their music in all of its glory and wonder. Barry Worrall is the main guy and you can see his band website on www.pontoon21.com so pull yer finger out and get listening. Enjoy The band began in 1997, recorded 8 songs and gigged around Liverpool to admiring audiences. They broke the record for audience figures at the famous Liverpool cavern, and subsequently changed the face of music in Liverpool. Their live gigs have the audience captivated and thoroughly entertained, laughing, clapping, like kids in a sweet shop, and nattering like grannies in the laundrette afterwards. Their unique blend of music and lyrics is a style which hasnt been heard before, and is an inspiration to existing bands hailing from Merseyside. Listening to these lovely tunes will be like eating a 10 tier wedding cake with a fork. "Nostradamus" Pontoons music is serious but funny, and aims to give pleasure to the masses. For instance "I haven't seen you for ages" is a song with a catchy melody and one of the most quoted phrases in the world. Its down to earth descriptions of everyday life blend with gentle and soulful Scouse melodies: This is easily one of my personal favourites from the band. I played this song in French Connection, a clothes shop, on numerous occasions in London, with people from around the world asking who, where and what this brilliant song is about! .The staff would sing these songs all day aswell. I guarantee youll be singing ages and ages and ages! before you know it. The band all met at art college during the early 90s, formed after everybody completed their degrees. Terry Turner (guitar), Joey Cannon (vocals/lyricist), Paul Taylor( bass/drums) and later joined by John Draper (bass), made up the rest of the band with Barry Worrall. There have been various line up changes through the years, but with Barry Worrall always at the wheel. Take yer shoes off, through them in the fire sit back, relax and listen to these songs, but not too loud cause next door on a split shift. Pontoon have produced 4 albums, and are available to preview and buy on the website, www.pontoon21.com/music. Go on this website, its much better than looking at nudie pictures. Their animations totally complement their music style. Pontoon have created their own unique animation world which is sometimes wacky, amazing fun and better than nudie pictures.
