I Rejection nascono nel luglio 2007 da un'idea del chitarrista e cantante Yoske Apolloni e del batterista Mirko Battisti, accolta la sera stessa dal cugino di Mirko, Alberto Battisti, chitarra solista; dopo una o due prove, la formazione si completa con Elia Macali al basso. Il nome "Rejection" viene scelto all'ultimo momento appena prima del loro primo concerto, il 25 Agosto 2007, in una piazza di paese. L'idea del gruppo è fondere il thrash metal (Pantera, Slayer, Metallica, Exodus) con il death metal (Death, Cynic, Nile), lasciando, però, la mente aperta ad altre influenze provenienti dalle fonti più svariate. Dopo alcuni mesi il gruppo abbandona le cover per concentrarsi su pezzi propri (uno dei quali è ascoltabile sulla pagina Myspace del gruppo, grazie ad una registrazione amatoriale conclusa nel garage delle prove). Nel Gennaio 2009 Yoske Apolloni decide si lasciare la band e senza perdere tempo Mirko, Elia e Alberto iniziano la ricerca di un cantate: si propone Marco Cecconi, che viene preso già dalla prima prova. Ora la band punta alla registrazione del primo promo.
