​ SIGNIFY have come a long way since their formation in Jan 2009. After winning several competitions in their first year, including the prestigious UK2USA which took original members, CRAIG KEATING (vocals), RICH ‘KENDO’ KENWRICK (lead guitar), ROB GREENFIELD (bass) & NEEL PARMAR (drums) to New York to perform at the legendary KENNY’S CASTAWAYS, they soon became recognised as one of the leading Midlands-based bands of their genre.  In 2010, a member-change saw existing drummer JON AYMES join the SIGNIFY ranks. This year also gave the guys their first taste of supporting a signed band when they were asked to play alongside Canadian metal legends ANVIL. Later that year they also supported VOODOO SIX and THE QUIREBOYS as well as headline the HARD ROCK & METAL stage at BIRMINGHAM ARTSFEST. In August 2010, SIGNIFY released their debut 9-track self-titled album and recorded their first music video featuring their ‘anthem’ song SONIC BOOM!  2011 started with a bang, handing the band the memorable chance to share the stage with up and coming Las Vegas lads TAKING DAWN. Later that year they also supported stoner rock band THE SWORD and glam rockers GLAMOUR OF THE KILL as well as headline the TOPROCK stage at the SONIC ROCK SOLSTICE FESTIVAL. In late 2011, SIGNIFY faced their first real challenge when original members Craig Keating and Rob Greenfield made the difficult decision to leave the band to pursue other avenues. Filling the position of bass guitarist, SIGNIFY were lucky enough to find ex-FALLING RED bassist DARREN MILLS at the beginning of 2012. Knowing they needed to take their time to find the right frontman to replace Craig, SIGNIFY featured a couple of guest vocalists for their next two shows. EX-HERESY vocalist ROB HARRIS took to the helm supporting THE TREATMENT in Feb and STEVE ‘WHITTY’ WHITTINGTON of CAPTAIN HORIZON graced the stage for a support slot with Scandinavian legends GRAVEYARD in March. Then came the twist of fate SIGNIFY needed: Following a meeting through their mutual manager, KENDO teamed up with JAM FOWLES (former lead vocalist, guitarist and songwriter of COME THE LIGHT and SKULL FOX) to form an acoustic duo supporting BREED 77 on their unplugged tour. With JAM’s pedigree and expertise it soon became clear SIGNIFY had finally found the frontman they’d been searching for. With the last piece of the SIGNIFY jigsaw in place, an exciting new era begins…..
