SOLDIER BIOGRAPHY SOLDIER are rising… It hasn’t taken long for the Birmingham five piece to established themselves as a major force on the national unsigned circuit. Melding influences that embrace The Verve, Charlatans, Zep, Stone Roses, and, I’d venture a slab of U2, with big guitar chords, anthemic melodies and yearning vocals, they’re looking to release Lifeline and Time On My Side in June. The former’s definitely of the early U2 persuasion with blazing guitar riffs, big melody and huge chorus while the latter adopts a more reflective approach with a hint of Kings of Leon alt-country, circling guitar line, ringing solo and a gradually swelling stadium bound melody line custom built for thousand strong swayalongs.
