Hello, I was born in Greenwood, South Carolina. I moved with my parents to Richmond, VA at age 2 in 1973. At age 6 I started playing football and developed a true passion and love for the game. Once I was able to understand what the pinnacle was for the game (The NFL), I set my focus on getting there by any means necessary! And believe me I did not know the means would put me through such a TEST! From Coaches favorites (yes it does exist) to dislocating my ankle, Tibia (required 2 screws) and Fibula (was reset) then having a doctor tell I would never run normal again and play at a higher level than High School. After Graduating I still went on to Virginia State University to play football but after 3 years I had to transfer to South Carolina State University to better my odds of fulfilling my dream of getting a shot at the NFL. But then the unexpected happened, that coaching staff mishandled my eligibility to play so I spent 2 years just being a student. I became an academic scholar in my department but knew I still had to do something about a passion that would not let me live a happy life. So after college I attended any workout, combine, tryout traveling state to state with my father filming my tryouts. I eventually ran into my Agent Frank Blandino who got me my first fly in tryout with the San Francisco 49ers where I ran a 4.41 on Bermuda grass with cleats on. they advised me to convert from running back to defensive back because of my size and speed. That is when my Agent Frank Blandino introduced me to Jim Garrett (Cowboys Scout) and Father of Jason Garrett present Cowboys Head Coach. Coach Jim Garrett worked me out and then advised me to play some type of organized football to get more experience in my new position. In 1999 I signed with the Orlando Predators in Florida now playing DB for the first time in a game. My team made it to the 2nd level of the leagues playoffs. Soon after my agent scheduled another private workout with the legendary coach and scout Jim Garrett of the Dallas Cowboys. Within 30 minutes into the workout Jim Garrett said "That's enough!, go home and continue to work on all of your DB drills, I am going to work on getting you a workout at the Ranch in a few weeks, and remember, you shine, you sign!". Needless to say in 2 weeks He called my agent requesting me to fly out to Dallas, Texas for a private workout. I ran a low 4.2 in the 40 and was perfect in my DB drills not dropping a single ball thrown to me, 35 out of 35, by the then DB Coach Bill Bates. Till this day I am the only Athlete to ever have to only run one (1) 40 because of the electrifying time I ran with an high profile audience (Jerry Jones) and others of at least 20 personnel and staff. The Cowboys signed me to a one year deal before I could get out of the shower after my workout. I returned 3 weeks later and spent 3 months on the roster before encountering a severe flex-or and hamstring injury. I rehabbed a few weeks but the Cowboys had a chance to beef up their Line Backer core, so they did a deal with the Tennessee Titans and needed roster room so I became available for departure. After not being brought back to camp I had no choice but to play another brand of football (AFL) to stay active and in football shape. Three years was spent going from team to team while waiting for another chance at my dream and it came in 2004, but I was so mentally drained that I decided to try and channel my passion into different direction trying to find happiness and greatness elsewhere. Lastly I jumped head first into the Acting, modeling, and Television/Film Industry. I started writing producing and directing hoping to brand my name and reach a high level of excellence in the Industry. Now 11 years later I have a chance to tell a story of hard work, pain, achievement and tenacity, teaching us all that we must never retreat, never give up, keep the faith and be willing to go "Close to the edge" pushing and challenging ourselves at when that moment arises to be better than good and greater than great! within sane perimeters.
