STREETWALKER was started in early 2009 by Brandon Curry(bass/vox), Rochelle Kellogg(guitar) and Joe Rizzi(drums) in Seattle. After putting together a few songs, Rochelle split the band, to be replaced by Chris Napolitano, soon after. The trio recorded a 5 song demo in June 09' and began to play shows by the end of July. In September 09', a cd was recorded and packaged as a tour promo for the 3 week west coast and Rocky mts roadtrip, that followed in Nov 09. Shortly after returning home, SW recorded another handful of songs, one of which, would be used for the SW side of a split 7"ep, with Oregon band, WARMONGER, to be released in the summer of 2010. In Feb 2010 Jacqui Alberts was added on vox, to share the duties with Brandon & Chris. Her vocal parts were added to the existing songs, & newly recorded songs were added to those tracks, resulting in the 14 track, full-length titled 'Revelling in the Din of Humanity.' It wasn't long before the LP was swooped on by canadian/US label Unrest records. They decided to release the album in CD & vinyl 12" formats. July brought on 9 day roadtrip to the bay area and back. More local shows, new songs and full US tour being booked for Oct/Nov 2010. The split ep is released by the time we split out towards the east. The 4 week, 25 show, tour would prove to be their most successful roadtrip to date, turning heads at every stop, and selling out of merch by the return to WA, where their copies of the LP were waiting for them. Most recently, they did a joint tour of the midwest states (may 2011)with Catheter(Denver), which was another successful journey, including participation in the "MIDWEST HELL FEST 2011". A split 7" was released, featuring both bands titled 'Dissecting the Suffering Quota', just before the roadtrip. So keep your eyes open for that lil' slab of brutality! Jacqui leaves the band for an opportunity to follow a career in the tattooing industry. We trudge on....... The vibe on this tour prompted discussion of another Catheter/Streetwalker tour in April 2012......but, this time, in Europe for a month and a half! The talk becomes reality......currently being booked by Doomstar, the Catheter/Streetwalker caravan takes the grind abroad for 48 european dates! Starting April 3rd in Holland and going full circle, around the continent, we end the trip on May 18th, in Venlo, Netherlands, at the Slow End Fest. In conclusion, with 4 tours, 3 releases and well over 120 shows under their belts, in about 3 years time, this crew isn't showing signs of slowing up any time soon.........
