I started this journey with Strong Hold a couple of years ago. I bought a camera and some light equipment and began filming on the streets of Compton. We were about halfway into filming when the equipment was stolen. All but ONE tape of the footage was left to edit. I was devastated but I refused to let that minor setback stop this mission. I believe this film will touch souls and save lives. Our youth today have very little guidance and most have no male figure in the home that can motivate, inspire or push them to greatness. This is why many turn to the streets for comfort and support. WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE WITH THIS PROJECT! If WE can reach and keep at least one young person from becoming a victim of the streets, the MISSION IS COMPLETE! Gang violence, drugs, and self-hate continue to kill our youth at an alarming rate. That’s why this message is so important for our youth! I need your assistance, support, and prayers. I truly believe that this film will make a positive impact. Strong Hold will show young men and women that they have choices in life, as well as consequences for their actions. With your help and support we can make a change in our communities, as well as our nation as a whole. Thank you for your prayers and support. With your help, a change will take place.
