Shyla Ray has been avid about movement, expression, and healing ever since she was a wee one. With a long history of athleticism, sports training, nutrition, yoga, and a supreme interest in alternative healthcare, and preventitive medicine, she has approached health from many angles and finds it completely thrilling that the phenomenon of being alive and organic is something that is being shared with all life! Shyla has been studying yoga since 2004, and has been on the path of learning how to facilitate the genuis teachings in order to pay it forward into the lives of those she is capible of touching. She started out with the direct ambition of becoming a Naturopathic Doctor, and over time this vision has refined itself and continues to build. She most recently took some time abroad and studied Thai Bodywork in Thailand, and furthered her jounney into Ayurveda/ Yoga in Kerala, India where she studied in an Ayurvedic hospital, Herbal Pharmacy, and panchakarma center. She is working at building a community that health and creativity can flourish, and is staying at the edge of Raw/ Live food, Yoga, Integral/ Evolutionary Spirituality, Women's cultivation, Children's Imagination and Whollistic Learning. She closely observes culture, and humanity and development, so that what is medicinal can be realized rather than perscribed. Other interests include: Conscious Catering, Writing, Evolutionary Enlightenment, Music, Edible Landscapes, hiking, biking, dancing, Vision-ing, and anything that involves the imagination or creativity.

As all of us I'm a frantic reader, I even read the label of the marmelade at breakfast, even if I know it by heard by now. I love to be surrounded by books, but the idea to release them in thw wild to have their own adventures appeals to me. Even more so to hear about their whereabouts on their trips around the world and the marvels they encounter and the joy they may give. I'm teaching cultural tourism and a university and love to travel myself, so why not books? With my wife Didi we often organise bookparties at home where we invite friend to bring books and enjoy fine wines and good food, Didi is as fanatic about cooking as I am about books. It is great fun and provides lots of oppertunities for people who harly know eachother to find points of commen interest, we can recommend it!
