I like practicing medicine and I like writing dirty stories in what little free time I have; I had also devoted quite a few years to doing research in neurology (epilepsy and Alzheimer's disease) and community service, including work with the Peace Corps. My influence as a writer comes from W. Somerset Maugham, E. M. Forster, James Purdy, and various other authors as well as from clinical writing.
