Threatening East Africa’s premier rock band is based in Kampala, Uganda. The band includes members guitarist and founding member Mehul Kanani, bassist Robert Plummer, vocalist Amar Scahania and drummer Jonathan Nsubuga. Threatening style of rock/metal is reminiscent of the 80s and 90s but with a modern touch. Their first single “The Traveler” was accepted worldwide by fans from all genres and has really made a mark for the band in East Africa and the rest of the world. The bands first full length album “Pain” consists of a totally different sound with each song mixed and mastered differently giving their debut album a versatile and objective approach. Mehul Kanani formerly guitarist for Innerfearntz and AirRaid both bands based in California. Mehul came out to Uganda in 1993 and shortly thereafter formed a “Perfect Strangers” with Robert Plummer a life long friend. AirRaid performed with the likes of Doro Pesch, Quiet Riot, Blue Oyster Cult, Vicious Rumors, Death Angel, Lizzy Borden, Killer Dwarfs, Heathen, just to name a few, whilst his previous band Innerfearntz was Support for Megadeth, Vicious Rumors,and Vain. After signing to Native Recordings Inc. an independent label they added members Amar Sachania and Jonathan Nsubuga and began recording their first acclaimed single The Traveler which put them ahead to record “Pain” their first album.
