Thresholds is a progressive hardcore band from Nashville, Tennessee (USA). Founded in 2014, Thresholds is comprised of four members with diverse musical backgrounds that manifest in their unique style that struggles to be defined by a single genre. Ex-frontman and founder Dakota Adams created the vision for Thresholds with producers Trevor Hoffort and Andrew Price with the release of the band’s debut EP, “Vendetta.” Dakota then began searching for other musicians at Belmont University to complement his extensive range of intense screams and powerful singing. Bass player Jake Saghi’s percussive style made him a natural addition to the band. Jake introduced Dakota to his brother Jeno who contributes technical and precise guitar playing and driving riffs to the group. Alex Drelich was welcomed into the band as a second guitar player whose progressive and innovative playing adds a new dimension to the sound. Finally, Jake Ward was asked to join the band for his unapologetic drumming that lays a powerful foundation for the other musicians to build upon. On October 30th, 2015 Thresholds released their first full-length album, “Ouija.” “Ouija” fuses heavy breakdowns with a unique groove and progressive song structure, resulting in a powerful yet haunting musical experience. Combined with Dakota’s extraordinary vocal range, “Ouija” grasps listeners with a new approach to heavy music that leaves a lasting impression.
