Towns: A Brief Rock N' Roll Biography In the legendary Steve Schatz's basement in Nashua, New Hampshire, Brad Dipalma united four other like-minded, psychedelic, savage musicians to form the band Towns. Within hours, DiPalma (lead guitar), Nick Burns (vocals, bass), Anthony Crescentini (drums), and two previous members had written and recorded their first hit "Hold There Woman". Towns quickly developed a distinct, groovy, and punchy sound that commanded a following. Through their first year of writing and performances for parties and basement rock jams, Towns produced hours of creative, tight, and distinguished power that comes only with a soul-bound united front. In the summer of 2014, Towns went on a three week long road trip to New Orleans with the united goal of "getting hammered, jamming on the streets, exploring New Orleans,” and meeting as many people as they could. On their return to New Hampshire, they prepared for their first concert performance eighteen months after forming at The Sad Café in Plaistow, NH. At this point, the band was now an established four-piece with DiPalma on guitar, Burns on bass, Crescentini on drums, and previous member Andrew Schatz on lead vocals. The next year would include a performance at Nashua's "Holiday Stroll", a concert at The Nashua Garden bar and grill, many over-the-top party performances, and acquiring a dedicated management, sales, marketing, photography, and videography team. In addition to their growing exposure, Towns continued mastering their writing, sound, and performance style; giving their reputation a magnetic appeal. In the winter of 2016, their concerts at Agave Azul on Main Street in Nashua defined the introduction of their original full concert set and acted as a testament to their rock n' roll party roots. As Agave Azul thundered with energy to Towns' unique, lively, and edgy performance sound and style; it became evident that the performance would become a defining moment in their career. After, a concert at Dudley's in Lowell, Massachusetts during the 'Winterfest' festival broadened their reach, sending waves through the local music scene of their individuality and creatively powerful spirit. In the spring of 2016, the band evolved into a trio as Burns replaced Schatz on vocals. Towns is currently recording their debut album with Tim Burgoin as their recording engineer at NH Tunes recording studio. With local photographers and journalists, like Sowell Photography and Avalon Lustick, showing interest in their work, Towns found more inspiration to finish their album “Forget Who You Are”; scheduled to launch in Fall 2016. Towns is now booking concerts at an ever-increasing rate in the Nashua, Manchester, Seacoast, and Boston region, and planning touring segments throughout Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont and New York. Towns continues to enjoy their music and their fans following, support, and activity as it grows with their every move.
