Like most I played a fair few games in my youth before videogames took over for 15 years or so. Favourites as a kid were Go for Broke, Movie Maker, Careers, Escape from Colditz Castle and yes, even a bit of Monopoly. Toward the end of 2007 I played Carcassonne on Xbox Live and wanting to find out a bit more I found BGG. I haven't really stopped since then and was fortunate to have lived for a time nearby to a local games club (Leicester Wargamers) and also have a group of friends who also enjoy the hobby. I also dabble in RPG's. I'm not too fussy about specific mechanics but I am a sucker for a strong theme and well made components. Hence my weakness for Fantasy Flight Games and Days of Wonder products. My 'Hot 10' list are the games I am most enthusiastic about playing at the moment. These tend to be games I've just started playing but every now and again an old favourite makes a reappearance after a good session.
