Married, retired, worked at my local college as support staff for over twenty years. I enjoy the outdoor life and sometimes 'blog' about nature. I am a member of my local U3A, (University of The Third Age) where I paint and learn about the art masters, I sing, in a choir, and also go on outdoor outings with U3A members. My wife and I go to folk music meetings and I enjoy meeting interesting people. When I get the time, I like to write about nature and sometimes-if the feeling is right-I write couplettes. My family and I are keen gardeners and we also enjoy going out walking. My aim is to try and create places for wildlife and to enlighten people about nature. Nature is for everybody and we all must get something out of it that suits us and I hope I have, in the past, catered for like minded interested people. I enjoy a challenge and, at the moment, I am trying to teach myself music sight reading. Hopeully, when I have completed this task, I would like to teach myself how to navigate by using the stars. I also love to be able to look at beautiful skies at dusk. I do not watch much T.V., in the light nights, and prefere to be outside but, in the winter, I enjoy action films and latterly listen to plays on the radio. Although I used to read a lot, when I was younger, my reading-these days- seems to be all reference work. I enjoy a good laugh and also like to tell jokes that are suitable for all age groups. I am polite, I try not to offend people but stand my corner well if need be. Usually, on the Net, I cut people off that I find to be offending me but I am open minded about anything other than bad language. I have worked with ladies all my life and although I enjoy their company and get on with them, I do not see myself as a threat to them. The real me is I am a shy person but because no one likes a 'wall flower,' I put in place a confident attitude and it seems to work.
