I used Visual Basic 6 for business rule Components, and Visual InterDev 6 for the web interface. I have implemented Credit Card validation/processing through Verisign within this application. This is a shopping-cart-type application that builds the order details in XML format. The XML is parsed in the business component and order details are inserted into database. Retrieval of data is gathered in the business component and streamed back to the web interface as XML where it’s transformed into HTML using XSL. Extensive VBscript and Javascript is utilized for this application. *Consultant/Application Developer – 3/2000 to 10/2002 Memphis, TN* • As part of the developing team for the city government project I utilized Visual Studio.NET to create the city’s business applications use on their intranet site. I have built backend business tier components in VB.NET using ADO.NET. I then used ASP.NET to create the user interface for the intranet site. This site contains several business applications, many of these applications are used to administer the internet web site where documents are uploaded and web site content is updated. • Member of a team that created a city government web site. After the initial phase of creating the first phase of the site using VB Script, Java Script and HTML, I converted much of the script code into COM objects using Visual Basic 6. I have also used the Component Console to administer the COM objects and am familiar with IIS. I converted most of the straight SQL commands into Stored Procedures in MSSQL 2000. I also had the task of maintaining the content for the web site where daily news articles, banners and converted into HTML keeping required formatting.
