Artist & fursuiter, originally from Florida, currently living with and in San Jose, California. Old school furry (" SilverMuzzle "), but I generally don't like labels. Charter member of the Fursuit Mailing list (1994), I've been into costume performing since 1994 (unless one counts the college mascot audition *mumble* years ago). Although I feel strongly about the importance of character (never headless unless urgent circumstances dictate) and preserving "the magic," I prefer to do my own thing, have fun spending time being my various fursuit characters, and hopefully inspire others to bring their own characters to life. Lead by example, rather than talk down to others. We all fursuit for various reasons. Sometimes I lead fursuit performance panels at conventions, including one called "The Power of Pretend": Is your fursuit as "just me with fur"? it could be so much more, an idealized form of yourself, how you wish you could be, not just you but "you-plus". Look in the mirror; who do you see staring back? What is this fuzzy fellow all about? More outgoing, exciting, fun? Pretend that you ARE this fellow in the mirror, this is your fur, your muzzle, your tail. You can carry yourself differently, walk with confidence, joy, or stalk about for prey. You can show off this pretend character not just in actions, also just BEING. Walking. Don't just stand but bounce, pace, scan about. All these will help this fellow come to life.
