<p>Our first walk, on June 30, 2007, in Balboa Park was a total undead success, with over 120 zombies. The second walk took place at Comic-Con, in 2007, where the horde had sightings of George Romero, Brian Posehn, and many others along the route. We also made the <a href="http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20070726-9999-1n26zombies.html" target="_blank">San Diego Union-Tribune front page</a>!<br /> <br /></p> <p>Since then, we've held events throughout America’s Finest City; most benefiting a variety of charitable organizations.&nbsp; We’ve participated in <a href="http://www.thrilltheworld.com/" target="_blank">Thrill The World</a>, played zombie kickball, been featured on <a href="http://www.sandiego6.com/content/sandiegoliving/default.aspx" target="_blank">San Diego Living</a> &amp; Fox 5 Morning News, entertained Ocean Beach with undead holiday caroling,&nbsp;helped promote <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6pSQY8IODc" target="_blank">Zombieland</a> (which made the <a href="http://www.cnn.com/2009/SHOWBIZ/Movies/07/22/comic.con.zombies/index.html" target="_blank">front page of CNN.com</a>), <a href="http://www.thisisbrandx.com/2009/10/braaaaaaains.html" target="_blank">helped take over Hollywood</a> for a night, appeared in <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cd3J1aJaUEg" target="_blank">a music video</a><a href="http://www.myspace.com/ratcityriot" target="_blank">, and in 2010 held our 4th walk at Comic-Con (a tradition we don’t intend to break – especially since we were considered one of the “</a><a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2009/07/ten-comiccon-mustsees.html" target="_blank">ten essential Comic-Con must-sees</a>” for 2009, according to the LA Times). We’ve even participated in a marriage proposal! Whether we have a dozen zombies or nearly 1000, our walks are always a blast!</p> <p> Our walks include zombies of all ages &amp; backgrounds, as we encourage participation from <em>anyone</em> interested in letting go of reality for a couple hours and having a great time. We have <a href="http://www.sdzombiewalk.com/?p=31">a set of guidelines</a>, intended to keep events not only fun, but as safe &amp; pleasant as possible for both participants and the public. Our group is always met with smiles &amp; laughter from intrigued passerby who are curious about why we walk and how they can join in the horde.</p>
